Caking Designing

To be festive, I've decided to bake a cake or two for Christmas. I had a dream where I was cutting and layering cakes. I was a real monster. I made a cake tree with presents and everything. I think I am going to try making that for christmas. I've already started looking for tools to make my cake making a creative treat. I took a pastry class in H.S. but spent more time eating than making the actual treats. I did learn enough from the class, to know how to be creative in my baking experience. I will use my artist skills this month when I make my cakes and cupcakes for Christmas. I found this great tool that will come in handy.

I am now the proud owner of two Super 8 movie cameras. They should be here in a few weeks, I can't wait to hold them in my hands and film some footage. One is sound and the other is without sound. Both are suppose to be working and they look sexy as hell. I can't wait to look like a filmmaker, shooting them. Anyone who holds an super 8 should be taken seriously.

HERE ARE PICTURES AND DESCRIPTIONS OF MY NEW BABIES:

CANON 814XL ELECTRONIC

Year: 77-79

Weight: 1500 g

Lens: Canon zoom 1,4 / 7,5 - 60 mm

Macro focusing

Split Image Focusing

Auto / Manual Zoom

Frame rates: 9, 18, 36 + single frame

Shutter degree: Var.

Manual / Auto Exposure

Backlight Control

Flash contact

Fades

Remote control socket

No sound

4 X 1,5V batteries

Made in Japan

MINOLTA 660XL SOUND

Year: 76-78

Lens: Macro Rokkor 1,7 / 7,5 - 45 mm

Macro focusing

Split Image Focusing

Auto / Manual Zoom

Frame rates: 18

Shutter degree: 220

Auto Exposure

Backlight Control

Fades

Auto Recording Level Control

Made in Japan

Manufacturer: Minolta

Ebay super 8 movie camera almost mine...

I am crossing my fingers and checking my ebay page periodically. I also found a second camera to add to my collection. I've spoken to the seller and was told if no one bids on it by tomorrow, I can buy it. I am excited. Looks like soon, I might have two great super 8 cameras. I'm not going to spend thousands for the new cameras when I can get an old that is cute and works just as well. I just have to make sure that I can transfer all my film to digital and DVDs. I am excited and happy that I found these cameras. My camera, the Canon814XL is in John Legend's music video "PDA(We just don't care)"...go check it out. I saw a camera like the second one I am going to get on Christina Aguilera's new music video "Keeps getting better".

So far I am the highest bidder. I am not paying over $100 for the camera. It is used and has scratches but I want it to practice my shooting on. I hope I get it. If the bid goes over $100, I'm going to leave it because I was already told I shouldn't even be spending that much on one of these cameras because they are old. That is what I like about the camera. The fact that it's vintage and it's cool looking. I love the way old movies were shot and I want to teach myself how to use old cameras. If I win this camera, I will buy film and start shooting as soon as possible. I am excited about shooting black and whites, silent and old film.

Super 8 movie camera extras

I've been doing extensive research these past couple of days about the super 8 cameras, the film needed, how to transfer it to dvd and watch it. It's been pretty easy to find answers when I know where to start. I was able to contact a professional and he told me not to spend a lot of money on the cameras to begin with. He also told me to get the canon 814 vs canon 514. I am interested in getting the xl-s. The xl-s is a bigger version of the cameras but still handheld, there are bigger versions of the xl's too. There are also two version to most of the cameras; with sound and without sound. I am looking for the camera that I can shoot with and without sound. I've basically found everything I need for these cameras. I will wait a bit, maybe a week or two before I purchase a camera. I was going to purchase one tonight until I was told that the price should be lower. I've heard of people purchasing the cameras for $20. I would love if I could luck out and do that. With ebay, you never know. I will keep my ear to the grindstone.

Super 8 Quest

On my quest to collect and own super 8 cameras, I'm facing a dilemma. Should I collect or buy a quality camera that I can also use effortlessly? I found two great cameras on ebay that I was planning on buying because they are cheap and in great condition. At the same time I found one great camera that might be better to have that comes with equipment and I might be better off having even though it cost more than both of the other cameras combine and then some. What should I do? Buy the two cameras that are in great condition or the one camera that might be better for serious filmmaking? I do what to collect, but I also what to use the cameras. Here are a picture of the cameras. Should I get the Bentley and Kodak together or just the Canon. If anyone reads this please give advice. I'm leaning towards the Canon.

Don't be surprised if I buy my first camera next week. I am doing research to see which is the best brand to get. I probably will get each of the brands since I'm going to be collecting them. I am not rich, so I will buy my first one purely for use. I want to shoot some films in black and white, color and silent. I'm excited. I've always loved how old movies look. Now I will get a chance to try and capture it. So far it seems as if Kodak is the best brand to buy so I will scout around ebay looking for the best price and best condition. I hope I don't get screwed over. I will look on Amazon also.

I also found the cutest picture of one of the first digital camera. It's so crazy.
Camera collector

The only thing I ever collected was the new quarters coin collection. I remember when they came out with images on the quarters. I started collecting all of them and almost had half of the states. Sometimes you had to go to other states to get some. I remember getting some in Texas that I couldn't get in NYC and it was a big deal to me. I loved collecting those quarters, but I was broke and got bored with the collecting; so I spent them. I do not have the mindstate of a collector, but when I become successful, I am definitely going to collect vintage video cameras and hot looking video equipment. That is going to be my thing. Some people collect shoes, bags, watches and clothes. I am going to collect vintage video cameras and use them as well. Canon has some of the hottest vintage cameras. It took me months of researching before I found them. I've been looking for them everywhere. If I find one cheaper than the RED SCARLET, I will buy it first.

As years go by, I would like to do more snowboarding, every winter if possible.

Final Draft VS Screenwriter

I am planning on getting writing software pretty soon and I am wondering which I should get. Which is better? Final Draft or Movie Magic Screenwriter?

Final Cut or Adobe Premiere?

I'm already a pro at using Final Draft, so maybe I should stick to what I know. At same time I want to try Movie Magic out. I like learning from different places. I can dibble in a lot of software from trying them out at least twice. We will see.
