"It" Girl
"It" Girl
Morgan holds her notebook aganist her chest as she walks through the new hallway. She makes sure to keep her eyes in front of her and not look at the strange faces around her. There are students laughing and calling out to each other. A group of girls are standing around a locker arguing about whether or not their new school uniforms look good and if they should alterate and personalize them. Morgan uniform is a size or two too big. The skirt reaches a little below her knees. She is wearing the dress shirt tucked into her skirt and sweater vest over. She quickly walks into the Guidance Counselor's office. The Guidance Counselor, a man in his mid 50's who likes to flirt with the students but is harmless, smiles as Morgan walks in.
"Morgan! How are you enjoying your classes? Do you like the school? getting along with your teachers and the students?"
Morgan gives a shy smile and sits down in one of the chairs avialable.
"Yes, but that is why I am here."
"How can I help you?"
"I am interested in being a member of the school newspaper team, but I understand that you have to be at least a sophmore in order to be approved."
"Yes, that is true."
"Is there any way you can talk to the person in change? I was on the newspaper staff before High School and I know I would do a great job."
The Guidance Counselor looks at her for a moment and thinks."You seem like a smart girl who has her head on straight. I will see what I can do."
He picks up the phone and calls someone. After talking for a while, he hangs up the phone."Go to the second floor, someone is going to be there to tell you want to do. Make sure you keep your grades up or you are going to be dropped from the paper."
Morgan jumps up excited. "Thank you!". She walks out excited and heads to the second floor, where the school newspaper office is located. There are several students in the office, doing work. Some are editing, writing or printing work. There is a guy standing with a couple of people discussing articles for the current issue. Morgan walks up to them and waits for him to finish talking. He looks at her and raises his eyebrow.
"Can I help you?"
"I'm Morgan, I was sent hear to join the team?"
"Okay, I will be with you in a second. Right now you can go talk to Lisa." He points to a tall, skinny girl with Blonde hair. She is standing, laughing and flirting with a guy at the corner of the room. Morgan eyes widen in fear, as she remembers the first day of school.
Morgan kisses her stepmom and gets out of the car. Her books fall to the floor and she bends to pick them up. She smiles to her stepmom, showing her that everything is okay and waves her off. She quickly starts walking towards the school and bumps into a girl. Her books fall and she bends down to pick them up.
"Watch where you are going clumsy!" Morgan sees two black heels in front of her. She slowly looks up and sees legs clod in white thigh highs and a school uniform too short and tight. The grey eyes are squinted into an angry look. Morgan quickly gets up.
"I'm sorry."
"Next time why don't you just save us all the trouble and stay home!". The girl walks towards her friends who are waiting, she says something to them and they look at her and laugh. They all walk away.
Morgan takes a deep breath and walks to the back of the office. Bethany looks up and scrowls.
"What do you want?"
"I am going to be working for the newspaper team." Bethany cuts her off.
"Says who?"
"Mr. Lipinsky."
Bethany rolls her eyes. "So why are you talking to me? You should be talking to Todd."
"Todd is busy, he told me to talk to you."
Bethany rolls her eyes again.
"Fine, you can be my little pet. If you make me unhappy, you are off the team."
"What? I don't understand."
"Oh, you will. You are going to be my little assistant. You are going to run errands for me. Find the hottest stories and if you do a good job, I may even let you write your first article within the week. We have meetings twice a week. make sure you attend them."
Morgan stares at Bethany. Bethany stares back.
"You can go now."
Morgan smiles weakly, nods and walks out the office. When she is at the staircase, she breaks down and starts crying.
STAY TUNE FOR WHAT HAPPENS...
Hi Everyone
Hi Everyone
This is Josie and I am a fashion stylist. I am currently working as an intern for a TV show. I get to dress the characters on the show and also I take a class at F.I.T. part time. Yes I know my schedule is crazy but it's so much fine! I'm still trying to improve my sketch figures. For some reason, I can never get the proportions right. Anywho! I am so excited about my internship. Most of the cast are really nice, but some can really be mean. The show is about High School students in a coed boarding school. It's really fun and the show is very interesting.
Assignment: Today, I am dressing one of the main characters. Her character is suppose to be very fashion forward. She is from a rich family and wears high end designer labels. She likes to go to clubs and parties even though she is underage. She is the leader of a clique in her school for rich girls. She is not really a bully but she can be forceful at times. In the scene that I am styling her, her character is going to a club for one of her friends birthday party.
