Musical auditions

Musical auditions

Next month I will start auditioning for musicals. Only musicals. I found great site for musical lovers. I will use the site to post my journey. So when I am not interning, making films, I will be trying to get paid jobs in musicals. Wish me luck. I have broadway CDS and a book or two with broadway songs. Here is my audition website. I just created it, so I don't have an entry yet. Eunice Audition website

My first musical instrument

My first musical instrument

I decided to look online today for my first Violin. I was able to find a cheap one on SAM ASH. It doesn't make sense spending a lot of money on your first musical instrument. I will also research FREE lessons. If I can't find someone who would teach me how to play for FREE, I will start looking into inexpensive lessons. I am so excited. I've never really wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument as much as I want to learn the violin. All of my nephews and my niece play the violin. Maybe one day I will play something with them. Until then, I have to learn how to play first. Hopefully I will have my violin by the end of this month or beginning of next month.

P.S. I found free violin lessons on Craigslist.

Finding my dance style

Finding my dance style

I've always had a love for dancing. I am not a great dancer but I am not a bad one either. I can do dances that requires me to grind up aganist my partner and shake my ass...blame it on my growing up in Brooklyn, NY around carribbean folks. I'm not too good with hip hop or dance that requires technique. I really got into krump dancing and hopefully in the future I will learn more about it. For the past three years I've been searching for the right dance style for my moods, body and personality. I've done modern, lyrical, hiphop, jazz and ballet. After one or two classes, I never go back. I've decided to try one last time to find the perfect dance style for me and perfect it. Starting next month I want to start taking contemporary dance classes. I've been interested in comtemporary for a long time and think I've finally found the style to release my emotions, get in shape and express myself. I want to become so good at it that I can perform in front of people as well as get part time jobs dancing. I do not want to become a professional dancer. I just want to dance well with a certain technique. So I'm going to buy my ten classes membership this month and hopefully start my dance classes next month. This is my last chance to dance.
